The PSZ House Corporation was originally formed as a State of California 501(c)(7) non-profit entity, and in January of 2019 filed for a corporate conversion to a 501(c)(3). This change allows donors to make tax-deductible gifts to support the mission.

The PSZ House Corporation acquired its first affordable housing property in 1980. In 1998 that property was sold and a new property with two housing structures was acquired just steps from the campus of California Polytechnic State University. In 2007 an adjacent property was acquired, and all three combined structures were remodeled. A further remodel project was completed in 2018, making the property ADA compliant and providing accessibility for disabled student tenants.

Corporation Officers and Directors are 100% volunteers, comprised of Cal Poly alumni committed to supporting the mission of providing safe, clean affordable, and off-campus student housing. An external, unaffiliated, 3rd party property manager is responsible for all aspects of the property management, including but not limited to screening applications, executing individual tenant leases, rent collections, property inspections, tenant safety, and repairs.

Your tax-deductible donations will go toward property maintenance, repairs, remodeling and the acquisition of additional properties for the Corporation. Your donations, at any level, are both appreciated and invaluable to our mission.
